I was referred to Dr. Lee by a friend when I began my hunt for the best plastic surgeon in Tampa. I had multiple consultations with the top rated and “best” plastic surgeons in Tampa. To say I was unimpressed is a severe understatement… Each doctor treated me like just another piece of meat; unfortunately, this seems to be a trend across Tampa’s surgeons.

When I went to my consultation with Dr. Lee it was a breath of fresh air! I was treated like royalty by his amazing staff. I was looking to get a breast augmentation but I was concerned about looking natural, complications, etc. He took the time to explain all the different options and how it would affect me as an active young woman. There was no fluff or dodging questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and eased my ever worry. Dr. Lee only had my best interests in mind and at no point did I feel pressured to get the procedure done unlike so many other surgeons pushed. By the time my surgery day came I could I knew EXACTLY what was going to happens before the surgery, after, and years down the road. He has the most meticulous attention to detail and the surgery could not have gone better!

The results? Even better than I imagined! My breast’s have a beautiful shape; my scars are paper thin, and most of all no one could ever guess I even had the procedure done. His entire staff is wonderful and I can not say enough great things about him and his staff.

Just got a breast augmentation done with Dr.Lee & the experience was amazinggggg. Between him (Dr. Lee), his staff & anesthesiologist they were all wonderful & SUPERRRRR nice. It was my first surgery & going under so you can only imagine how freaked out I was walking in on my surgery day. However they were so nice & calming that I felt like I was going for a facial instead of surgery. After my surgery I have yet to feel any pain. It’s kind of bizarre, but that’s to show you that they KNOW what they are doing. I watched so many YouTube videos on breast augmentations & 97% of the girls I watched complained how they couldn’t breath, they felt like a elephant was sitting in there chest, felt nauseas, first 3 days where the worst, blah blah …. but I did not feel none of those things. My recovery has been GREAT!!! I would so do it all over again without the freaking out part. Dr. Lee gave me hope when no one else would. With my unexpected 2nd go around with breast cancer, I realized the true impact of radiation. All other plastic surgeons did not want to risk their reputations for an implant and pushed me to do a flap, which would mean symmetry issues considering I was now doing a bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Lee was recommended by my oncologist who said he was doing cutting edge techniques and was not afraid to try new things.

Dr. Lee and his staff are incredible! I had a breast augmentation done at the end of June, and everything from the surgery to recovery was well taken care of by Dr. Lee and his staff. Dr. Wayne Lee is such an amazing plastic surgeon!! After my flawless surgery a year ago (which mind you I got there at 7am and was home by noon), I couldn’t be more happier with the results!! He saw me regularly after my surgery and answered all of my questions. Even before my surgery he made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the entire process and really had my best interest at heart. He has a great calming manner as well which was a huge plus since I have such high anxiety all the time. His entire staff has always been more than nice and sweet to me. They have been my crutch every time I needed someone to lean on..especially Li!!!

I received excellent care throughout my implant replacement procedure. The office is well organized, efficient, and always promptly returned calls with the answers to my questions or concerns. Dr. Wayne Lee performed my reconstructions surgery following a double mastectomy and I was hoping to look similar to my natural appearance. I knew immediately after my first office visit this was the doctor for me. He was kind, empathetic, very knowledgeable and patient. I was a difficult case because an earlier surgery in the 80’s resulted in leaking breast implants, placed in front of the chest wall. After the mastectomies I knew there would be very little breast tissue left to work with for the reconstruction. I was hoping for a good result. After surgery I was stunned by my appearance. I have an absolutely fantastic result! My breasts are beautiful, symmetrical and yes, very youthful, considering I’m almost 70.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 I had a double mastectomy in March of 2013! I immediately after the mastectomy I had breast ex-panders put in and began the process of my reconstruction. I survived two infections along with the removal of the left ex-pander along with months of costly therapy and two additional surgeries. Along the way I joined support group where in my second meeting I met 3 other survivors all with similar stories and we all had one common denominator we all shared the same plastic surgeon, a respected and experienced PS in the Bay Area Dr. Karen Wells. I finally came to the realization that sometimes it’s not the patient or the condition I knew that in order for me to end this chapter of my life and begin to feel whole I had to find the RIGHT Doctor. On September 8, 2014 Dr. Wayne C Lee operated on me and I was finally able to close the book on that part of my Breast Cancer Story. From my initial visit to my post op the difference were so significant. Dr. Lee gives you 100% attention to every element form day one, starkly different from Dr. Wells’ negligible response to any situation or question. He is so informative and on his game, even the undergarments he gave me were very different. As a patient just to know that your doctor is your partner and not just a visitor on your journey. I was also so impressed when I learned that he holds a once monthly “Return 2 Fitness” class at the local YMCA, it’s a 2 hour class where he brings in a dietitian, and a yoga instructor and works with you on cardio to help ease you back into health. I attended a Return to Fitness class in August and did yoga with Dr. Lee on the mat next to me. I am just so impressed by Dr. Lee and everyone on his staff. If you have any question at all that your doctor is not right don’t wait!

In 1982 I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Since it has been 32 years I had a feeling I needed to possibly have them replaced. Dr. Lee was highly recommended to me. In August 2011, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was devastated! I had mammograms yearly, self examinations weekly, without ever having felt any abnormalities. I was subjected to numerous and varied tests that showed there were calcifications in both my left and right breast. The beginning stages of cancer showed in the right breast, but not the left. Face with the chance of cancer developing in my left breast, with the support of my husband I decided to have a double mastectomy.

My surgical oncologist recommended Dr. Lee as my reconstructive plastic surgeon. All I can say to that is “Thank God for Dr. Lee.”

Dr. Lee is a warm, caring, and patient doctor. He takes time to explain the process of reconstructive surgery and the potential problems and benefits. He let me know that I am more than my breasts and it’s me as a person that defines me, not my breasts. Although nothing can replace God’s work, Dr. Lee provided me with a great replacement. Because of his fine artful work, I’m not self-conscious or depressed. One of the best things about his work is the new pair won’t sage and my husband can’t quite smiling.
